Printed Yellow Pages - Does it still work?

Do you find value in your Yellow Page print ad? Does it still work for you? Let's discuss what types of companies can still benefit... Is all about the ad design?

Press release on www.MyWebYellow.com

Local company creates unique link between customers and companies via Internet. One click connects you to all the capabilities of white pages, yellow pages, web-browsing and more!

ROCHESTER, NEW YORK (August 20, 2009) – Quick! What’s the fastest way to find the name, address, telephone number, website and current promotions available at the nearest swimming pool dealer? The closest furniture store that sells Amish armoires? Or the auto repair shop that sells a certain brand of tire – sorted by zip code?

Yellow pages? Think again. Newspaper? Not even close. Now, one click to www.MyWebYellow.com will instantly connect customers to

more than14 million business listings across the country – including that swimming pool dealer down the street.

www.MyWebYellow.com is the most interactive, accurate, relevant Yellow Page search on the Internet - and best of all, it’s all local information,” said James Cavagnaro, the fellow behind this new search site.

Cavagnaro said his company – TCN, located in Rochester, New York – spent four years developing the sophisticated software system, and two years collecting the most up-to-date information about businesses, using telephone company data and website listings to create a searchable profile where all relevant information can be centralized.

“We found a way to dynamically link the listings of companies found in the Yellow Pages, with information from the companies’ websites,” Cavagnaro said.

Now, because of that legwork, the process of finding the right business right away is a piece of cake for the rest of us.

Once you’ve logged on to www.MyWebYellow.com, you simply type in a “search term” – “pizza” for example – and a “location” – zip code – and viola! The closest pizzerias instantly appear online, with address and telephone information, website links and any other relevant information, updated regularly via TCN’s patent-pending software and through Axiom, Inc., a strategic partner.

Each business listing is a virtual micro-site, and there are no additional fees to “enhance” one’s listing, Cavagnaro said. “Unlike the Yellow Pages, businesses can add a logo, company motto or business description, and link to social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Linked In – all free of charge.

“They can also link to a company video on YouTube, add numerous key words, link to an e-commerce site, add their website, and coupons and promotions. The entire building of a company’s profile has all those features designed to help people find them, because the data is so rich,” he said.

“Businesses also can place banner ads right and purchase click word driven top placement on the www.MyWebYellow.com site for even more exposure,” Cavagnaro said. “We want www.MyWebYellow.com to have the most accurate, robust data of any Yellow Pages listing in the U.S.

“In spite of the current economic climate we believe this is a great time to introduce this unique Internet Yellow Page site,” Cavagnaro said. He may be right.

“We believe businesses are looking for a new and different venue where all their media can be centralized,” Cavagnaro said. “Businesses invest in Yellow Pages, White Pages, websites, E-commerce sites and social media such as Facebook, Linked In, and Twitter. This and much more can be integrated into a company profile on www.MyWebYellow.com.”

Cavagnaro said the site was officially launched August 1st. It is currently being tested and marketed in Rochester, NY, with a national roll out planned for the fall.

If the concept takes off – and Cavagnaro says he is banking that it will – he anticipates the company could add hundreds of new jobs and pump millions of dollars into the Rochester economy.
